Sculpture Assembled on site for Architect Paul Kernan (2005)
Sectional work 72" high.

The elements of this piece reflected the forms of the house and the large hole frames and integrates the natural vine maple into the geometric form.

All the tiles were hand made for the exact specifics of the location. This is an example of several location-specific installations.

A whole series of these were made for an architect to install in a progressive Calgary Medical practice.  The lettering is in English, Arabic and Chinese.

  Egyptian Figures

The client wanted these 2 figures (40" high) to flank his fireplace.  The figures are Anubis (see smaller version on Anubis Bowl), the jackal headed God.  The bases referenced not only coptic jars but  also temple columns.  The engobes and glazes required extensive testing, and were layered and partially abraded to suggest antiquity.
