With the double limitations of having the work to both fit into and be able to be lifted into the kiln, in order to make larger sculptures, I have begun to assemble units after firing.  I had assembled units for an earlier commission and this initial series is a play with different arrangements and combinations of related forms, unified with different bases.  They are assembled around a steel shaft.

These softer forms exist somewhere between my carved pieces and the formal geometry and are either totemic or suggestive of figures
